The 2022-23 school year at Minuteman High School began Aug. 30 with a ninth-grade class of 189, one of the largest in recent memory.

For the first time in the school’s history, all of the ninth graders live within the nine district towns of Acton, Arlington, Bolton, Concord, Dover, Lancaster, Lexington, Needham and Stow.

Dr. Kathleen A. Dawson, the new superintendent-director of the Minuteman Regional Technical School District, greeted students as they arrived for the first day of school, along with Minuteman High School Principal George Clement and several other administrators and teachers.
